Our health is preserved when we provide our bodies with sufficient air and proper posturing. The physical air we breathe and the live-giving essence contained within it are nonidentical. As Christians, pranayama returns us to the “breath of life”, sent into our nostrils by our Heavenly Father and ignites connection to the Holy Spirit that lives within us. This workshop will help you to deliberately review your breathing throughout the day, improving our natural, or “resting”, breath patterns, which can upgrade our emotional response, sense of energy, and immune system.
Taught through the lens of Christ, this 2-hour pranayama, or breath technique, workshop will provide instruction and practice of eleven different breathing approaches in detail. Objectives include creating more awareness around our natural breath, using the breath in motion, practicing some energizing breath techniques, and learning many calming breathing options too.
