Mission
I serve my students through the lens of Christ to stay authentic to who God created you to be. My passion is to see lives restored by the power of the Holy Spirit, through meditation, body awareness, and intentional movement. I help my students heal from trauma, rebuilding your sense of security, value, and worthiness. I encourage class participants to accept God’s overwhelming goodness and grace, because we all need to feel loved in order to extend love. I promote feeling better living in our bodies, accepting the skin you are in, to increase confidence and health - physically, mentally, spiritually.
My specialities include:
anxiety
depression
pelvic floor
Currently teaching IN-PERSON and livestream via ZOOM, Group classes and 1:1 Therapeutic Yoga consultations.
I teach from a place of authenticity, hoping to share the gifts that Jesus and yoga have offered me. Yoga has strengthened my relationships with God, family, and myself. After miscarriage and having two children in two years, I wrestled with depression. Gifted a yoga set from my sisters, I began practicing to connect with myself in a positive way. My history also includes five concussions, and traumatic events and relationships. Although I still occasionally battle with anxiety, depression, and bouts of vertigo, yoga has helped me to increase proprioception and develop good habits that are beneficial to my mental health.
I want to demystify yoga for Christians. Yoga has helped me forge a healthier outlook of life both physically and mentally. As a movement and mental health advocate, I want to come alongside of you on your journey toward wholeness - heart, soul, mind, and strength.
“Work less”
“One of the things I enjoy coming to your yoga class is the way you breathe deeply, and your reminders to us not to forget to breathe. You always seem to know when someone is clenching their jaw or crunching their toes! It helps so much when getting into a position if I am tense and you remind us that we can “work less.”."
— Tabby, age 37
I aim to teach people how to feel better in their bodies, heal from trauma, and accept God’s overwhelming goodness and grace. My mission is to assist you in turning your wounds into weapons. I help my students to acknowledge and correct poor alignment; use the breath to calm the nervous system; and stretch and strengthen the body and mind. My goal is for each student to find success in their yoga practice, regardless of their skill level, abilities, or age.
This path Jesus placed me on will take a lifetime to complete, and I choose to approach it one breath at a time. I am a work in progress too.
